Interviewed Nov 2011 in Carlsbad, CA (took a day)
The initial phone screen consisted of questions regarding the use of interrupts, what a RTOS meant, UML usages, software design process.
The onsite wasn't that aggressive, standard C and C++ type questions, if you've prepared it wouldn't be a problem, what's a volatile variable, how is it used, the use of static, C++ access specifier.
Whiteboard problems consisted of implementing strcat, create a function that would shift an 8bit lower nibble with the upper nibble. It wasn't nothing terribly complicated.
Other than the hiring manager, everyone seemed ill prepared and was basically reading off the information from my resume. The campus and environment seemed very nice. The employees I spoke too seemed stress free.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
I did a background check and current / historical stock price analysis on the company and it's subsidiaries. The interview was a panel interview with 5 attendees and me. There were a few scenarios that I was asked to analyze and then I was tested on my ability to give instructions using 2 sets of colored blocks of different sizes. One set was arranged in a 3 dimensional pattern which I had to describe to a person standing behind me with another set of the same identical blocks. I was to walk the person through the layout and see if I could describe the orientation and end up with the same identical orientation. I was largely successful however I was not 100% missing the orientation of two of the blocks. The rest of the interview consisted of Q&A and lasted approximately 3 hours. I found the office staff and culture to be light-hearted - the dress was casual as I anticipated in an engineering environment.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
It was a 1:1 interview which lasted for a whole day. Major focus was on my academic projects in ASIC verification as it was my first job. All the interviewers were very cordial and considerate. They quizzed me on issues similar to what their current projects were.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Carlsbad, CA (took 1 week)
I was initially contacted and phone screened by someone from Staffing. Then had an onsite interview with six different people.
The strangest thing is that they want their application filled out, signed, and submitted when you show up for the onsite interview. It's largely redundant with your resume, but it also gives them unlimited permission to call references, perform security investigations, do credit checks, etc. I didn't want to give them that permission until I knew I wanted the job, so I didn't provide them the completed application. I think that really annoyed them, because even though I did great with the interviews, the staffing person never returned my calls again.

Interviewed May 2010 in Carlsbad, CA (took 2 weeks)
Recruiter was very friendly and communicative, particularly when needing to reschedule. Hiring manager interview was very professional and detailed about my background. Work culture looked to be very focused on scientific and engineering excellence, and campus-like office park reinforced the collegial atmosphere. Company web site was good resource in preparing for interview.

Interviewed May 2008 in Germantown, MD (took a day)
Got an email to come in for an interview. Went into the interview. Was interviewed by 3 people (not at the same time). First person to interview was mainly a behavioral interview. He wanted to know what I know and get to know me better. The next interview (with the next person) was mainly asking about my skills. What software do I know, how do I do when working with a team, etc. The third person interviewing was more technical. He went over the engineering aspects of the company. He asked me about my skills that would apply to the company (not just any skills in general). He then gave me a tour of the projects and explained what each thing does and asked if I had seen them before. Interview was about 2.5 hours long (with all three people).
