Interview Details –
Surprisingly quick feedback after application submitted; in retrospect, most of the interview took place over the phone. The face-to-face interview took place later that week and was pleasant, and I was shown the software they used and told about the benefits. Everything seemed like a perfect match. But at the end of that face-to-face, I was told that they prioritize hiring from within the organization over actual qualifications, and that unfortunately someone from within the organization had applied since my initial telephone interview. I was [nicely] warned not to expect a call, but that I should continue to apply for other positions there.
I felt like they wasted my time, since no matter how well my interview went, the position was essentially filled days before my interview. I suppose I appreciate that they hire from within the organization, but they shouldn't have had me come in for an interview if that position wasn't available anymore.
I have not applied there since, although I understand it's a very nice place to work. I don't enjoy being given the runaround.
Pros: Huge endowment, money was never an issue. Great people, great community, great overall experience! – Full Review
