Interviewed Apr 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 3 months)
Typical Phone interview followed by a on-site interview with 9 people. Mainly behavioral with a few cases (management consulting style) related to Visa. Although everything else was a plus the hiring process was a downer. After uncountable followups I was told to hang in as they were still interviewing. Haven't received a formal rejection as yet.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in San Mateo, CA (took a day)
I went through an agency to interview at Visa. I was one of 40 applicants. The manager decided to interview three. The manager was down to earth and easy to talk to. I was a close second to the candidate they choose, who had direct experience with the project team and the tool involved.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 6+ weeks)
Initial communications were average and recruiters were generally responsive. Details regarding job position were not available until the day of the interview, which was problematic when conducting background research.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
Quick follow-up on submission of resume by recruiter. Standard interview questions. Recruiter talked about how Visa's collaborative and consensus driven culture was shifting due to the need for faster go to market pressures and maintaining growth. Seems to be an environment that is evolving and some new territory for those who have been longtimers. Company performance strong through recession.

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took a day)
Had previous communication with an in house recruiter that didn't result in an interview, but kept in touch and later when this opportunity came up, she was very helpful in forwarding my resume to the appropriate recruiter. Moved relatively quickly to setup interview. Questions about strengths, weaknesses, relevant experience. Company was open about what it was like to work for hiring manager.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 2 months)
Initial phone screen with HR was as expected and went very well. After subsequent follow up messages (voice, email), a f2f set of interviews (5 people) was set up. The interviews went well but another candidate was chosen. It took a long time (6+ weeks) and numerous follow up messages to find out that another candidate was selected but no feedback as to why.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in Ashburn, VA (took 2 days)
Recruiter found my resume online and contacted me. We had two phone conversations. When she found out that I was out of town, talking to her on my cell phone, she seemed to lose interest.
Sent e-mail, with updated resume over a couple of days, and then she did not reply any further.
Called back and left follow up messages, she did not respond.
Interview Questions
Hard to answer that without going too negative on the previous employer, but that was why I left.
