Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 2+ weeks)
I had saw a positing for the job so first I went into the store to check it out. I talked to the current manager and he explained to me why he was leaving. He had me to fill out an application and also gave my information to the District Manager because he like me. I filled it out. The District Manager called me a few days later. I had a one on one interview. I was offered the job later.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
Emailed resume to recruiter who then sent me an email asking for the best time to call.
Completed a cursory interview on the phone - recruiter told me I needed to interview with the VP who was in the area THAT DAY or the next day at latest. He explained "they are moving fast". I think the job would end just as fast - a contracted position it was.
I Told him to set up the interview the next day and tell me when. I never got a call back.
I got an email a few days later that the position ws no longer available. I dont think it would have been a smart move for a person all ready employed.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took a day)
My interview was probably a bit different from most. I just happened to be at the mall on a day that the district manager was visiting the store. I forgot where I parked and began chatting casually with him about the economy and the difficulty of finding a job regardless of your profession. I told him that I was a nurse and he immediately told me he was interested in talking to me. We sat at Cinnabon and talked for over an hour and I didn't even realize this was really an interview. By the time we finished talking he offered me the store manager job.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took a day)
I walked into Vitamin World and as we got to talking I mentioned that I had just moved to the area and had graduated college in Health and Phys Ed. I said I hadn't found a job yet, and so they gave me an application to fill out. I brought it back the next day, and they gave me a personality test and the manager said he was going to do a background check and let me know when it came through. We set up an interview, and he asked me basic questions about my background...it was pretty laid back. When he called me a few days later everything had worked out and he hired me. Make sure you know more than just sports nutrition if you apply here...especially if you are looking for full time because that is only 20% of what this store sells.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 5 days)
Had interview with VW even though I had read all the reviews at Jobvent.com. The DM was very curt, distracted, not listening and no more than 15 minutes into the interview, she cut me off and said she had another applicant. No thank you!
