Volt Information Placement At Another Company Interview

I had initially applied for the position through Career Builder and a Senior Recruiter from Volt called me immediately. I was very impressed at her promptness as I noticed hundreds of other candidates had applied. She described the position and was very good at selling it to me, as it was not exactly what I was looking for. After our call, she emailed me more information and told me to let her know if I was interested. I immediately replied to tell her I was and she contacted me a few days later to say the client (a company EVERYONE knows) was interested in setting up a phone interview.

The recruiter set up the interview with me and even gave me information to prepare: sample interview questions, how other candidates have been successful, how to relate my past experiences to this position, etc. I appreciated her help and felt prepared going in.

She emailed me immediately after my call with her client's hiring manager to ask how it went. I emailed her back saying it went well and have yet to hear back two weeks later, even though I have contacted her two more times. At this point, it's pretty clear I didn't get the position but that is no reason to not follow-up with me after I've had two interviews and certainly no reason to avoid my emails. The experience overall was pleasant as she provided all of the information needed and looked out for my best interest. However, I thought it was pretty weird I didn't receive another call or email even telling me I didn't get the position. I currently am employed and have been interviewing with other companies so waiting around to hear from a company I had a high interest in isn't exactly the best situation to be in.
