Getting an Interview
Architectural Designer Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 days - interviewed at WATG.
Interview Details – The process of being interviewed was very relaxed and comfortable. A casual lunch conversation, showing a few examples of what I had been working previously. Followed up with another discussion in the office regarding more technical aspects of what could bring to the firm. A quick tour of the office and I was made an offer to join, as it was during a busy cycle of the architectural business.
Interview Question – How do you see yourself in 5 years? The future is often hard to foresee but, a goal with a plan to achieve that is important. Answer Question
Junior Designer Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at WATG in April 2008.
Interview Details – Phone interview and then went to the office for an in person interview.
Interview Question – What makes you interested in the company? View Answer
Negotiation Details – fairly direct.
Junior Interior Designer Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied in-person and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at WATG in March 2014.
Interview Details – contacted the studio via email and phone call, studio interview with a few representatives in casual style, presented work and portfolio, the session went well. waited for almost three weeks before getting back with a decision.
Interview Question – rather standard questions: introduction and work background, reason of joining the studio, project related skills. Answer Question
