Interviewed Jan 2009 in Denver, CO (took 2 weeks)
first interview was conducted at a store with a community manager. Asked basic questions that pertains to the position. Took a skills test, last about ten minutes. After that had a second interview setup with another store manager who also was a community leader. Had to go and get a drug test that instance, then they would call after that. All in all went good but did take a few weeks to get started, sayed one date but went past that.
Had to dress to impress. Make sure you bring resume, even to the second interview. You can tell pretty quick if your gonna get hired or not, they don't beat around the bush.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Saint Louis, MO (took 2 days)
Pretty easy interview. As long as you have a resume and dress business like you will probably get the job. You are supposed to interview with a manger and then a second interview with the district manager. Sometime they will skip the second interview and offer you the job.

Interviewed Jul 2008 (took 1+ week)
The interview consists of a series of questions. The questions asked are as follows.. Why do you choose our company? How do you think you can benefit Walgreens if you get hired? What are your short and long term goals with the company? How do you do with customer service? Are you good with working with people? How do you feel about working on nights and sometimes weekends? Are you able to multitask? The interview was conducted by one person only so it wasn't interogating. It was comfortable because you don't have a panel of people watching you. They will tell you if you got hired by the next day.

Interviewed Jun 2007 in Akron, OH (took 3+ months)
The district manager had my resume and took notes on it while he interviewed me. He asked me a series of questions relating to what I imagined a management position would be like and why I would be an asset to the company. I only had one interview and he said that if he was interested I would receive an offer letter in an email within a week.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took 2 weeks)
Met with a store manager that was in charge of hiring for the district. The interview lasted about 2 hours with me. After that interview, about a week later I was called in to interview with the district manager. That was only a 10 minute interview. I got the job offer one week after that. You have to take a drug test (urine test) within 48 hours of the offer, and they will also do a criminal background check on you. You also take a skills test on the computer. They will test you on basic math skills like if the item is $3.99 and a customer gives you $10.00, how much change do you give back? Also they will show you coupons and ask you questions regarding the coupons.

Negotiation Details
There is no negotiation. They tell you what they are giving and that is it. For me I got offer $18 an hour. From what I was told that is what every Asst. Manager starting pay was in my district, which is actually more than what I expected. They will send you a email and you just log on and accept the offer. You get 3 paid sick days after 6 months, so you get 6 paid sick days in a year. You also get 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of service, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks at 5 years, 4 weeks at 15 years, and 5 weeks at 25 years. When you are eligible for 3 weeks you can start banking your vacation time. You also get 3 paid personal days after 6 months. Holiday pay is based on your average hours, and you are eligible for it after 30 days of service. Health plan is pretty good from what I heard. Employee discount is 15%.
