Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 2 days)
Online test, then one on one. It was ridiculously easy, be as nice as possible and getting the job will not be difficult. My only complaint is that they did not up me to Photo Technician for 9 months despite the fact that OSHA doesn't want you working in the Photo Lab unless you are certified.

Interviewed May 2011 (took a day)
when you first apply, its done online. then if they are interested in you, they give you a call and ask you to come in for a little 10 minute skills test on their computer. if that goes well they may call you for the interview. in my case, 2 managers were there at the same time, neither really wanted to do the interview though. they asked a few basic questions and basically wanted to know whether i could work the hours that they needed me to, let me know the basic job functions, and it was more conversational than anything. they called back within about 3 days and offered me the job.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 1 week)
Did the Walgeen's application online. I then, heard back from a manager about a week later. The manager stated that enable to be eligible for the position, that I needed to complete the Skills Assessment at a Walgreen's. (Side Note: It is a good idea to dress nice when you go into do the Skills Assessment at the store because there is a chance you will get an interview on the spot afterwards). I did the Skills Assessment which I personally found to be difficult! However, I did well and was given an interview which I was hired on the spot then given a drug screen sheet to take to a nearby clinic.

Interviewed Oct 2008 in Phoenix, AZ (took 2 weeks)
If it is a retail store you are applying at...either if you shop there already that is great you know that store if not, then shop at that store during every shift available. I say this because not only will you become familiar with where things are but you can learn other things like how busy is their rush hour ire s the store clean organized and are they trying to reach each sales group at there available. Trust me this knowledge will come in handy.

Interviewed Nov 2007 (took 1 week)
Pretty straight forward and the standard for the industry. It went in the following order: Skills test, interview, drug test/background test. When the interview was done and they planned on hiring you, they would give you a form to go get a drug test and they would initiate the background check. When they got the results back, you would get a call back to set up a time to come in and finish up hiring paperwork.

Interviewed Dec 2007 in Erie, PA (took 1 week)
Open interview at a motel with other people, but one on one interviewing with store manager. They were hiring people to help open up the store. Everyone that already was working for Walgreens that had set up the open interview were very pleasant and welcoming.
