Interviewed May 2012 in Allston, MA (took a day)
it was great, i applied a few weeks ago and the lady called back and invited me to take a skills test and i took it and then i passed it and then she asked some random questions, like describing times when you had a hard time and how did u work thru it, which i pretty much BS-ed because i dont like to get outsiders involved in my personal life.
and now im waiting for a call back, she said she would call either way, i know some companies will tell u right away, so maybe it was to get me to leave or something, all though i never applied at wallgreens before, maybe they really do it like that.
i took the skills test before , like a fake pratice one, read the questions carefully, one of them showed a 20 dollar bill and i thought it meant like how much is the bill, but it meant if the bill is $01.50 (random examples and or figures.). what would the change be?
and thats simple, but it doesnt tell u what they want to know from the question.
overall, i recommend this employer.
i will update this if i get the job, so far, i selected "interviewed, with the result of no offer" because no offer has been made yet.!! !!

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Chicago, IL (took 3 days)
This was my first job. I was 16 years old, I have an aunt who is a manager in a surrounding store. Walgreens works like that sort of, more of who you know and not what you know if you are first starting out. I did an online application, got a call from the store manager and went in. It was pretty simple, he asked rountine questions. He told me how they normally try for older employees because of labor laws etc. but he was impressed by my focus and maturity. I was set up on a IQ/Skills test and background/drug test and was working within a week and a half.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 4 days)
I did my application online and called the store the next day to check the status of my application. The manager invited me to the store the same day to complete the other half of the skills/personality test. I was invited back 2 days later for an interview at 3pm. The interview was easy and they asked me a few questions about my past work experience. Even though the interview went pretty well the two people that were interviewing me kept leaving the room for some unknown reason and the interview was held in the break room and the other employees kept coming into the room during my interview making me very nervous. After the interview the manager went on to tell me about the scheduling process and how much I would be paid an hour. The manager then went on to tell me that they would contact me within a few days with their decision. After waiting a few days I decided to call myself and was told that he had already sent the new hires down to the clinic for a drug test. I did not get the job and this interviewing experience taught me that I can’t just go by how friendly the interviewer was or how well the interview went.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
The hiring process was pretty easy you have to do a 2 part skills test one online and one in the store and also do a completed application. Then if you are called in for an interview you set up a time and come in. My interview went really well. I met with the manager and he asked me about availability and then a series of simple interview questions then he stepped out of the room and came back about 5 minutes later with papers and offered me the job! pending my drug test.
