Interviewed May 2010 in Boulder, CO (took a day)
I attended a meet and greet/interview session for a web developer training position that they were offering. They said in the job description that they wanted someone who knew a programming language (discounting HTML and CSS). But when I was interviewed by 2 managers they asked me questions on CSS. I figure why they did this is they already picked their limit of people in front of me, so they just gave me a subject I wasn't prepared for and I was suppose to fail at.
Also, during the meet and greet which was before the interview they seemed to focus their enthusiasm on a young guy from India while other candidates in our group seemed to be ignored (even though some asked very good questions and had very good knowledge of the company- more than the guy from India). I pretty much knew before I was going to be interviewed that the guy from India got the job due to where he is from and him having a friend who works there.
The people were ok. I met some cool people and one guy I could tell who didn't like me from the start. The management seemed full of themselves and for offering an entry level position with training they make it too hard to get into.
However reading reviews from employees on this site before the interview, the people seemed happy and it didn't seem stressful. Based on what I saw I wouldn't mind working there, but also this was after hours and I don't know how it really is there.
in the end, I know I didn't get the job, but it's no loss based on the low pay and the high amount of stress.
