Interviewed Dec 2011 in Norwalk, CT (took 2 weeks)
I had to go through an interview with one of the assistant store managers and because I did well enough on that interview I had to schedule an interview with the Asset Protection Coordinator (recently changed to Asset Protection Manager). I then had to undergo a background check and a drug test. After passing both I was extended the offer and began with 6 weeks of training at another Wal-Mart store. The questions were very similar to the questions I have been asked in other interviews. However, when answering them you should provide answers relevant to the AP job.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Concord, NH (took 2 weeks)
I initially had to have a phone interview with the Asset Protection Coordinator, then I had to meet him for a face to face interview, then I had to have a second interview with him and another member of management, and then I had to have an orientation meeting with Human Resources. After that I had to go through three months of training and then was finally able to start.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Grand Prairie, TX (took a day)
Met with the AP manager, one associate, and AP manager from another store. Asked:
Tell me about a time when you lead your team. What was the project? What were the steps you took to complete the project? And what was the outcome.
Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with a co-worker. What was the disagreement? What were the steps you took to resolve the disagreement? And what was the outcome?
Was told there were just a few others to interview and my next interview would be 1:1 with the AP manager. He has yet to call. I called as he had requested a week later and was told he would let me know. It has been three weeks.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Graham, TX (took 3 days)
I was interviewed for the position by the Market Manager, and a Asset Protection Coordinator who is like the direct supervisor over Asset Protection. The interview consisted of 20 questions that critiqued your personality which the answers will be graded on three levels, exceeds expectations, meets expectations , and below expectations. I actually felt like I bombed the interview, in fact im pretty sure I did. I think they had pre established that they were going to hire me and were just going through the motions. as in any walmart interview they most likely will have already selected the candidate they are going to hire before the interview process and will just interview a few other people which is required by policy.

Interviewed Jan 2009 (took 3 weeks)
The interview was pretty simple. You are just asked basic questions about a time you lead your team, or a time you made a difference in a situation. You will have two sit down one on one interviews and a phone interview. If you pass this you with get a background test and drug test.

There is no nogotiation with this company. If you won't take what they offer, Fine, They will find some other fool who will! Just remember the people you catch that shoplift from WalMart are the most Ghetto-Nasty, dangerously mean, type of individuals this company does not pay enough for what you are going to have to do!

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Milwaukee, WI (took a day)
I have never been through a panel interview before so this was more stressful than it should have been, but only because I made it stressful. The inte4rviewers were polite and professional. The questions were pretty standard for the position. Word of advice try thinking of all job related experiences before you go into the interview this will help you to answer question quicker and more confidently.
