Co-Manager Interview

Co-Manager
San Antonio, TX

I applied through other source and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Walmart in March 2010.

Interview Details – Getting an interview as an hourly associate is pretty much easy. You do have to apply for the job you desire before it becomes available. I started as an overnight stocker and moved up from there. As I moved up to salary manager I went through an interview with the market human resource manager. I then had a second interview with the market manager to be promoted to assistant manager. For Co-Manager I had the same interviews and also had a walk through on the backroom operations. You are graded by a store manager and either the H.R. Market manager or the Market Manager. Then if qualified they will submit your name and ratings to home office for approval.

Interview Question – During the walk through for Co-Manager be as detailed on the notes you give from inventory in the bins to cleanliness behind the machines and corners.   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Walmart in March 2008.

Interview Details – this was an interview for a promotion within the company. this was a structured interview with structured questions to test your knowledge of company policies and procedures. then there was a second part where you were to walk the salesfloor and backrooms while giving notes and direction to there current management staff to test your attention to detail. if you ever get an interview for a promotion within this company i suggest being very well versed in operations and having extensive knowledge of all of the polocies and current programs that the company is complying to.

Difficult Interview

Co-Manager Interview

Co-Manager
Myrtle Beach, SC

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Walmart in July 2009.

Interview Details – I had a phone interview with 3 store managers. The process consisted of 8 questions from a list of core values; for example, integrity, decision making, developing others, etc... Each question was a 3-part question; for example, Describe a time when you had to plan a project and put it into action. What happened? What would you do differently? After the question period I was given an opportunity to talk about myself. Give them a little taste of who I am. Then it was over. They said thank you and ended the call. So far no response.

Interview Question – What was so unusual was the format of the interview. No chit-chat, just right to the questions, then it was over.   Answer Question
