Interviewed Jul 2009 in Lansing, IL (took 6 days)
The very first thing that must be done is to apply online. Once you fill out your basic information you must take a test. This test is basically to see what your thought processes are and for them to try and gage how easily manipulated you can be and how controllable you are. If you pass this test you will be reviewed to see if you qualify to work for them. The first interview includes basic questions with primary level supervisors. The second interview is conducted by the assistant manager over your area and the questions will be very similar to the questions asked on the first interview. If you pass this interview you will have to take a drug test and a background check will be performed on you. Once this is completed you will have a third and final interview is where the store manager and you "negotiate" the pay.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
It was very easy. The questions were just common sense things like ''What would you do if a customer needed your help but you had to get a project finished'' and ''How would you handle a difficult customer''. The 2 managers who interviewed me seemed laid back and were making jokes and asking me about the weather and such to make me feel comfortable and at ease.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took a day)
I was interviewed by two assistant manager. The questions were very easy. You just answer it based on your experience. Just be yourself and don't feel nervous. Talked to the interviewer as if your talking to your friend. Answer the questions in a simple manner and direct to the point.

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Santa Clarita, CA (took a day)
I showed up and had two interviews in the same day, without having to wait long. My second interview basically sealed the deal and the manager was preparing to get me started with the hiring process, that is, until she looked at my age and realized I was 17 at the time. California law states that people under the age of 18 are not allowed to work past 10 pm. To my dissapointment, she say "oh sorry, the shift we are hiring for is required to work unitl 11 pm." An hour made the difference between getting a job or not and they wasted my time by not bothering to make sure I was even old enough to work the shift.

Interviewed May 2010 in Woodstock, GA (took a day)
I was scheduled for a 1:1 interview where I was interviewed by two Assistant Managers. The questions were really similar and seemed repetitive and mostly they were questions on how I had helped or satisfied a customer of a different cultural background in my previous jobs (I am an immigrant by the way) or how I had exceeded expectations of my boss or a customer in the past. Basically they will be hammering on customer service skills. I was given the job after passing a drug test and was given a two-day paid orientation/training on starting the job.

Negotiation Details
Repetitive questions.Incredibly low pay that depends on what you filled on your online application......Relax. Don't be too enthusiastic when answering questions during the interview, it makes you look desperate and may lead to a ridiculous pay offer. Been scheduled for an interview at Walmart is as good as you got the job already.
