Interview Details – Assistant manager just asked a series of questions on how you would handle certain customer situations. Also included some past experience questions either related to past work experience or school. Very straight forward pass or fail. Sat down and told me the starting hourly wage amount no negotiations. I interviewed with two managers separately. There was a lot of down time just waiting. The process went very smoothly, have no complaints.

Interview Details –
worlds largest company=worlds most impersonal hiring process. It's all very technology driven/impersonal. Finally talked with store manager pretty far into it after email correspondence and online testing (way too early in process).
At that point it dawned on me how tough it would be to relate to any of the people on staff mostly, and I bailed.
Interview Question – How would you describe your life's philosophy Answer Question
Reason for Declining – was looking to do something temporarily, but honestly I couldn't bring myself to work with the incompetent staff I'd be helping to manage.
No Offer – Interviewed in Aurora, CO Apr 2012 – Reviewed Apr 26, 2012
Interview Details – The online application was very vague, mostly employment interests and past job titles/salaries. No providing of skills/experience. I was surprised by a return phone call. The interview was 3 one-on-one meetings, with successively more important personnel. Questions were entirely canned "tell me about a situation where you..."
Interview Question – Tell me about a situation where you had to solve a problem with multiple possible solutions, and how you decided on your specific course of action. Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Montrose, CO May 2010 – Reviewed Apr 6, 2012
Interview Details –
After submitting the application online, I got a call for an interview within the next few days. First interview was with a supervisor followed by a second interview with an assistant manager (same day). Questions are scripted, "Tell me about a time when..." and are centered around customer service and completing assigned tasks.
The interview was very unprofessional as it was held out in the open so to speak in the training room. People were walking in and out throughout the interview. Sometimes I lost concentration on the question or had to stop a response because of the conversations going on around me.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you were not able to finish a job assigned to you. How did you handle it? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Walmart doesn't price match when it comes to sales associates... it is what they offer.
No Offer – Interviewed in Lamar, CO Feb 2012 – Reviewed Feb 23, 2012
Interview Details – I applied for this job three times since May 2011 in hopes of getting a quick boost of income. They made me wait for the longest time. When I finally got the interview I filled out a form and then was asked a series of questions regarding challenges overcome at work or school. I interviewed with two different people and they gave me similar questions. I felt that my seven years of past experience at Kroger would give me the leg up over my competition. Unfortunately, they are still waiting for a decision. If you want to increase your chances of getting a job do not move to Lamar.
