No Offer – Interviewed in Bentonville, AR Jul 2011 – Reviewed Apr 23, 2013
Interview Details – I was referred by a senior employee who submitted my resume. to the hiring manager. Three detailed phone interviews with different managers, one of which lasted nearly two hours, lunch with a local group, and then a trip to Bentonville to interview at headquarters. Round robin interview, then an interview by a group of senior staff.
Interview Question – Why would you be qualified for this position given your lack of work history? (I was as a volunteer who built successful non-profit organizations from the ground up for nearly 20 years in the same industry as the one that I would be covering for them. It had the feel of an age-related question, especially since some of the other recent hires were right out of a master's program with little to no experience, while my master's degree was 25 years old.) Interview Details – Jobs are near impossible to find online for the logistics locations. Once you find the job posting (if there are any), you wait. Human resources does not even send out a position filled/you were not picked letter. You are not allowed to call to ask about your application. Once they finally call you, You come in for interview and speak to HR Manager. You then wait to see if you were picked. Still can't call, have to wait. I applied for a position here 4 times before getting a job with the company.
Interview Question – Questions were remedial but when dealing with under pressure, they could allow you to slip up. questions were asked over again 2-3 times to see if you answer the same. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. Everyone makes the same in the plant, except for managers and maintenance.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Belleville, MI Feb 2013 – Reviewed Apr 19, 2013
Interview Details – I had to attend 2 interview sessions one with the assistant manager and one with the store manager. The one with the assistant manager was fairly standard stuff getting information on my availability and such. They wanted to know about my past retail and customer service experience. Mine was a little scare so I had to take from my marching band days as well as examples. The second with the store manager was a bit intimidating but he was easy going enough he just showed me what I was gonna get paid ($7.80/hr) .
Interview Question – They wanted to know how I handled being part of a team. But since my retail experience didn't really give me that I had to take from my high school marching band. Answer Question

Interview Details – Applied to all of the local Walmart stores for gas station, but got a call for a new store that wasn't open yet to be a Service Writer. They asked me about four "tell me about a time..." type questions and that was it. They printed me an offer letter and sent me off to a drug test, then roughly a week later had me come in for orientation. They didn't ask me about my experience or really even explain the position. I think it was because it was a brand new store that was about to open and was still understaffed.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you solved a problem at work/school Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation at this level. The job is "level 3" pay grade which in this case was $7.90 when minimum wage was $7.25

Interview Details – I have had 2 interviews within the logistics department. The first interview went well, but it seemed they were focused on someone who had SAP experience. Was never called again. Weeks later another hiring manager called saying my resume had been passed to him, but the interview was nearly the same, and again, seemed they wanted someone with experience in SAP; I was confused why my resume was passed on if they already knew I didn't have experience with SAP.
Interview Question – Typical behavioral questions, a few technical questions involving Excel and Access. Answer Question
