Interviewed Oct 2010 in Brisbane, CA (took 4+ weeks)
Got the interview through an internal referral by alumnus of grad school. Interview consisted of two phone interviews. Once I had those, the HR called to inform that I was invited for in-person interviews. Flew to Brisbane where they had me meet with 8-9 people, half an hour each. Interviewers ranged from Directors, product managers, engineers etc. Questions were mostly behavioral, drilled into details about work experience from resume etc.

Interviewed May 2010 (took 5 days)
I only went through 2 phone interviews - ending with the hiring manager. HR was not well prepared and decided that we had already conducted an interview, despite never contacting me. The organization is very hierarchical and has a reputation for burning its workers out. It is a great brand and looks great on a resume. Pay is below the rest of the Valley.

Interviewed May 2010 in San Bruno, CA (took 1 week)
A recruiter got in touch from Walmart.com's headquarter asking if I was available for a phone interview. The interview was scheduled twice, twice the recruiter missed the appointment and made up some silly excuses for not letting me know he wasn't going to make it...
Very disappointing, I'm glad nothing came out of it. I'm wondering if that's the common experience when interviewing with this company.
