Interviewed Apr 2011 in Burbank, CA (took a day)
I did a standard phone interview with the recruiter where I reveiwed my experience with her. She told me I was qualified for the position and would recommend me for an interview.
I showed up to the scheduled interveiw expecting to meet with the hiring manager. Instead, I met with the recruiter where she spent a total of 15 mintues describing the organizational culture and company benefits. She ended by telling me they had not finalized the minimum requirements of the position and might want a candidate with a JD degree. Keep in mind that I don't have a JD, don't wan't a JD, and never will get a JD.
Frankly, this was information that could have been shared with me via telephone and in no way could be considered an interview. It was a complete waste of my time and gas.
I received no follow up from the recruiter, not even an TBNT auto generated email.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 days)
Interviewed with WB and I have to say it was an amazing experience! I can see how the political aspect of this organization can get in the way of an applicant's road to get hired - the process is usually long and your contacts don't always reply to your messages even though they may read/listen to them. I'll break down my experience for ya!
Pros:
- Beautiful campus and plenty of parking.
- Great employee perks.
- Pretty competitive salaries depending on your position.
- Bright co workers and (depending on your department) capable and great supervisors.
- Management is quite accessible and available.
- Freedom in your work as long as you get what is requested done in time.
- Temps almost always become full-time employees after 1 year.
Cons:
- It's hierarchical and internal promotions are almost nonexistent unless you know someone.
- Hiring process can be a bit hard to maneuver, not always clear cut.
- Getting hired can take two months of waiting and many interviews.
- Being referred is probably the only way to get an interview with anyone.
- Long hours for most departments.
- It's a big corporate environment therefore change is very hard to come by.
- Breakdown -
Arrived early enough to clean myself up, tidy up paperwork etc. Receptionist was very helpful and sweet. Then went in to meet with HR which was a great experience - the company is generally very squared away with their processes, that is they are pretty efficient (if they want you that is). HR interview took about an hour.
After the HR interview, went in and took a skills test - it's quite easy, if you use office you should be fine. They allot 2 hours for you and I got it done in about 40 min.
Right after my skills test, went upstairs to the big boys and interviewed with the hiring managers for my position. The questions mainly went off the job description and after they were done with that they asked a little bit about my life and asked me to expand on my knowledge and skills for the job. Overall it went VERY well.
The office was clean, posters everywhere, employees listening to music while working, spacious cubicles - overall a great environment to work in and thrive. Too bad I didn't get that call back - looks like they were searching for someone else, guess you can't have it all! =)
Good luck to ya'll who are trying to get hired! It's a great place to get started in entertainment.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 2 days)
The hardest part of interviewing for a company like Warner Bros. is getting your foot in the door. I submitted my resume through the website for perhaps hundreds of jobs but never received a call. I asked a prior boss to make a phone call for me which got me the call for an interview for a job I was not hired for but now I knew the HR rep by name and called her when I saw another opening for which I was qualified. That is the job I ended up getting.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
I have been a paralegal, manager, secretary, and coordinator and I have always tried to negotiate my starting salary. I've usually been successful to one degree or another. Currently, no. Interviews have me nodding my head and smiling when the subject of salary comes up. Company's don't have to negotiate for middle level staff and definitely not for lower level.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in Burbank, CA (took 2 days)
I applied for the Legal Internship online through my law school. I got an email asking to schedule a phone interview. I spoke with the head of the program who is an attorney at Warner Bros., and she was very nice. She told me they were still in the early stages of interviewing candidates, and I made sure to follow up with her once I received my Fall semester grades. I got an offer by the end of February, and the initial interview had been in January. I had about 2 weeks to decide whether to accept.

Interviewed Mar 2008 (took 5 days)
It started with someone within the company calling me, I had worked with them previously at another company and they needed someone with my skills to help advance the team they were working with. They asked if i was interested in changing companies and if i could come down for an interview. At the time my current employer had no opportunities for me to advance my career, and this seemed like a exciting company to work for, so i went into the interview. I met up with the contact i known, and he took me into one of the executives offices. I met with 3 of the team leaders within the company, they all review copies of my resume during the meeting. It lasted maybe 20 minuets, they didn't have many tough questions, but just were leading towards me being able to handle what they were looking for. The next day I got a call from my original contact and he made me an offer over the phone. We talked back and forth about a few things, but I accepted and the next day, gave notice to my current employer and started with the new company 2 weeks later.

Be prepared to interview with many people over a long period of time. Everyone was very nice but they did not ask always ask difficult questions which makes it hard to understand how they were deciding between candidates.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Los Angeles, CA (took 1 week)
Applied online and received a call back approx. 1 month later. First phone screen was with HR; however, I was invited to come in prior to my phone screen (??). Met 1:1 with three different interviewers. Most of the question were general in nature re: my background and experience. I'm not sure but had a sense that they structured it to have the 1st interviewer be a cake-walk, 2nd interviewer more talking on the position rather than interviewing and the 3rd as a hard-ball generally antagonistic interviewer.
