Interviewed Jun 2009 in Minneapolis, MN (took 3 days)
It started with my posting my resume online for them to see. I then received a call to come in for an interview. First we had to fill out a ton of paperwork which then led to a test which we needed to take to see basically how fast we were on the keyboard. After that it was a one-on-one interview with someone to discuss the job. Nothing too out of the ordinary except for the whole speed thing. I then got a call about a week later where I was offered the job later accepted it.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Minneapolis, MN (took 1+ week)
I applied online and received an email for screening the same day. The following day I got a call for the phone interview, very basic, customer service and sales questions. My group interview was set up for 5 days later. There were 5 people interviewing and 2 interviewers, one from HR and a branch manager. First they ask for an intro that includes your name, why you want to work for WF, how you think you can benefit WF and what your career goals are for the next 3-5 years. Then they ask about recent sales experience, how that could work for WF, what your sales goals have been and how/if you exceeded them, etc. Then there is a role playing where you pretend you are a banker and suggest ways to increase sales for the day.
Dress very professional, definitely a suit. Make lots of eye contact, ask a lot of questions, Try to stand out, volunteer to answer questions first. Definitely research the company and include specific WF information in your answers. My group interview was yesterday and I received a call today to set up the next interview with a branch manager. Any suggestions or information as to what to expect next?

This was an initial interview to set up an interview with an hiring manager, I have received the interview for the hiring and yet gone to this interview yet. The initial interview was a quick 30 minute briefing on the entails of the job itself. Mainly a sales position, where you would attempt to up sell the products which they offer.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Crystal, MN (took 1 week)
First you have to tak a phone interview. They basically just screen you to make sure they are not completely wasting your time by sending you to the recruiter. Then you go to the group interview. Mine had 9 candidates. It was not intimidating at all and the recruiter was extremely nice and approachable. They gave everyone the same 3 questions and we had to go around the room answering them. They were multiple-part questions so it gave you a few minutes of talking time for each one. This is basically your only time to shine in a group of 10 people so make sure you say something that sticks out. I am 23 and everyone else in the group was in their 40's at least. They all had about 25 years or more of work experience. I could have decided to be intimidated but I didn't. Half of them said they wanted to work at Wells Fargo so they could have holiday's and nights off. I said that I wanted to work all the time and save money so I wouldn't have to work when I was 50. I laughed inside a little when I said that.
Anyway, then they tell you that you will hear back in 5 days. I heard back in 2 days that they did NOT want me for the personal banker position but that they would like to offer me a teller position.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Minneapolis, MN (took 4 weeks)
It started with a call from a private company asking generic questions. About one week later it was followed up with a call inviting me to a group interview that lasted 3 hours. The next day I got a call stating they were very interested in me and would be contacting me shortly for a one on one interview. After 3 weeks, the final interview took place. It's been 3 days and haven't heard back.
