Interviewed Mar 2012 in Leechburg, PA (took 2 days)
The Manager Called me and asked if I could come in on that day. I said yes. I went in and the interview consisted of a Background Check, Interview, and assessment such as "Describe one time you received negative feedback well, Name one time you helped somebody" etc. Asked if you can perform the job skills. Also verified application. Said they will run a background check. Called back next day with a job offer.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Richmond, VA (took 2 days)
I walked in the restaurant and happen to speak with the hiring manager and was called in for an interview the next day. I was interviewed at one of the tables in the store and was asked general questions. It was clear I had the job, but was left alone to read old pamphlets about dress code and requirements.

Negotiation Details
I negotiated the pay, but was denied the $8/h and was paid minimum wage. Coming from my previous job of $7.50/h this was very disappointing.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
I went to turn my application in and was interviewed on the spot. The interviewer was extremely nice and it felt like I was actually having a conversation with someone rather than being interviewed. I was asked a series of questions, pretty much the standard "tell me about a time when..". I then was interviewed by the manager which consisted of a few basic questions. I was then told I had been hired.

Reason for Declining

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
I came in, at an hour set by the manager, and was asked how I dealt with stress, and anger. We chatted a bit, then it was over! I got a call the next day saying I was hired. The interview was slightly formal, and many of the employees liked to stare at me to unnerve me.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
It was easy to get an interview scheduled: I filled out an application in-store, asked to see the manager, and she looked it over. She asked me to come in that Friday. I think she agreed to interview me because my schedule is flexible, I'm available anytime. If you wanna get an interview, let alone a job, you have to have a flexible schedule.
I arrived 15 minutes early and was interviewed right away. I was asked several basic questions, including:
1. Why do you want to work here?
2. Tell me about a time when you had to resolve an issue at work. (This was my first job so I talked about my volunteer experience.)
3. What are your hobbies and interests? (I mentioned three but she wanted to hear more, so it's good to have your answer in mind ahead of time.)
4. Do you work best alone, or with a team?
5. What are your strengths? (It's best to mention strengths that apply to the work you'll be doing; I talked about how I'm very optimistic in a hectic environment, and work well at a fast pace.)
Then she gave me a sort of competency test. It's like an online application where you must answer questions relevant to the job. BUT it's much more nerve-wracking because the 40 questions are asked in *very* quick succession and you're not allowed to think about your answer.
KEEP IN MIND-- she said she doesn't usually give this test, so I was the exception rather than the rule. Don't worry about this test as you probably won't have to take it. But it DEFINITELY helped a lot to already know the points about myself that I wanted to sell. So I'd recommend planning general answers for these questions, they might be asked even if you don't take a test.
Here are some of the questions:
1. Are you nervous?
2. How do you feel about urgency? (i.e. working at a very fast pace)
3. How would you feel if someone with less experience than you got promoted to a superior position?
4. Is being on time important to you?
5. Would you describe yourself as detail oriented? Give an example.
6. Do you see yourself as someone that people quickly learn to trust? Give an example.
7. What gives you the most satisfaction?
8. Are you a positive person? (I said very much so.)
9. But do you ever get negative? (I said of course, on occasion. She liked that, since if you say "Never" then you're obviously faking. Everyone gets negative sometimes.)
10. Do you have reliable transportation?
11. If you were having a problem with a coworker, how would you handle it?
12. If things were really crazy and the stress was getting to you, how would you handle it?
13. What would you do if you wanted to part ways with us? Would you hand in your 2-week notice, or just up and quit?
12. What was your favourite thing about your last job?
13. How would you handle an irate customer? For example, if they insisted you hadn't given them the right order when you know you did.
13. Do you think it's okay to use toughness to make someone do something that is good for them? (This is a trick question and I don't think my answer was good. So just be honest.)
14. What makes you feel that you are ready for the responsibility of entering the working world?
I can't remember the rest, but they were all in the same vein and I had to answer very quickly. Some are trick questions and I didn't answer them well, but it didn't seem to hurt in the long run. At the end she seemed amazed and said "Where did you come from? You're hired!"
The key is being approachable and genuine.
Keep your hands on the table and open.
Lean forward slightly.
Always keep eye contact (Tip: looking near the inner corner of their eye is less confrontational and creepy than staring them straight in the pupil)
Dress in business casual: I wore neatly pressed grey jeans, a white button-down and knitted vest.
Smile easily and frequently! Being natural and "yourself" is vital because they can tell if you're acting.
Prepare by envisioning yourself performing really well. Play it out like a movie in your head. I know people say that all the time, but it's totally true and helps SO much.
It's not hard to get an entry-level job at Wendy's. They can hire anybody they want and get hundreds of applications, so if they choose to interview you, then you already have the job! =)

They pretty much just ask you about yourself and your availability.
If you show any minimal amount of intelligence, are not a social deviant, look clean and can work the shifts they need someone, you are hired.
Come dressed in business casual to make an impression.
That is what my manager has told me at least.
