I had dropped in an application on an online job board about a week before I was contacted by the hiring manager. I had arrived early to the location and was asked to sit and wait for the proper time as the hiring manager was currently in a meeting with two others in the middle of the dining area of the Wendy's. As the planned time drew closer other applicants arrived and took up various spots around the store. When the time hit he announced to us that he'd take us in the order we had arrived in.
The interviews were conducted in the said dining area, in the same spot he was speaking to the two others. (At this point I'm assuming they were managers over him as they had left out of there.) The interview questions were normal ones, what was my availability, did I know what the job required, etc. However being as inexperienced as I was I found it very tough to keep from freezing up in the presence of all the others.
All and all the best advice I could of given, as I was found later not to be a fit for the job, is to remain confident, come prepared, and hopefully not be as much of a pansy as I was!

The owner holds open interviews, commonly once a month, for all applicants. The questions are very generic: consisting mostly of questions regarding future plans, strengths, and hopes for work at Wendy's. The questions were simple and easy to answer, not requiring much thought or preparation. The interview takes place in the Wendy's dining room. Management is usually up front about whether or not you will get hired at the interview.

I went in to get turn in my application and handed it to the manager. He looked it over and asked me to come back a few days later. I had my interview, which consisted of the typical interview questions (why wendy's?, describe a time when you recieved excellent customer service, describe a time when you have had to deal with someone difficult, etc.). The interview went really well and the manager asked me to call that weekend to find out if I would be offered a job. When I called that weekend and spoke to the manager he said that they were very interested in me but that they were busy training a group of workers and that they would get back to me when they were done in about a week. I called back a week later and was told that they were still interested but they weren't ready to hire me. I never heard back from them.
