West Corporation Payroll Clerk Interview

Posted Jan 23, 2013

No Offer – Interviewed in San Antonio, TX – Reviewed Jan 23, 2013

Interview Details – Put in an application, was called within the next couple of weeks, had an "interview" with a recruiter first. The recruiter asked me some questions and gave me a run down of the position and set up an interview with 2 supervisors for the next day. I had the interview with the 2 supervisors and it was only 20 minutes long. So I wasn't sure about how it went. I was then contacted a little over a week later for another interview but this time with a Manager. I still haven't heard anything but the last interview was yesterday. To date it has taken about a month to a month and a half since i put my application in.

Interview Question – 1) what would your current supervisor say are your strengths? what about weaknesses?
2) Why do you want to work in payroll?
3) Tell me about your previous jobs
4) Why are you leaving your current job?
5)I'm going to say some payroll terms, tell me what they are: w2, w4, weighted payroll, what is a non exempt employee, when are w2s supposed to go out,
I can't remember the other terms or the other questions
  Answer Question

Other Details - I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks.
