Interviewed Jan 2012 in Mansfield, OH (took 3 weeks)
Applied online and got a phone call within 24hrs. I came up the following week for an informal interview with the sales manager. It went well and I completed a skills and personality assessment test (easy, common sense situations). A couple days later I received confirmation that I had passed and was asked to submit to an online form of background check and had a phone interview set up for the end of the week. The phone interview lasted 45 minutes, and the interviewer asked questions such as "Tell me about a situation in which you had to tell a staff member below you that he/she was breaking company policy and what did you do to remedy the situation." The beginning of the following week I came into the office for an in-person interview which was unstructured in the amount of time (casual). That went well and they offered a 2nd interview. They explained the process of training in the 2nd interview, and I can describe succinctly as a micro-manage relationship between you (the sales rep) and the company. They dictate 15 hours of the week in the office. The rest of the 30 expected hours are all on you to prospect and find clients, though they provide very detailed instructions and statistical analysis to get clients.

Reason for Declining
After getting this far into the process, I didn't want to stop, but the one thing holding me back was the fact that at some point, my already small "personal market" would be depleted and much of this job involved time out of the office (driving to appointments, prospecting for new clients, etc.). Also, this may be picky, but you don't need a bachelor's/M.S. degree for this position. You can graduate from high school and be qualified (as long as you are the personality type they're looking for).

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Charlotte, NC (took 3 weeks)
I received a brief phone call from one of the Account Managers I met at a career fair. I then proceeded to take a personality test, have a phone interview consisting of behavioral questions, and then went through a background check. I recieved a call to speak with the Account Manager about compensationg etc but decided it wasnt the job for me so never followed up.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 2 months)
I was contacted to schedule a phone interview at first. It consisted of very basic behavioral questions that I linked to various work/leadership experiences. After that, I was asked to come in for an interview. I had to take a skills test and then interview with 4 of the hiring managers individually, which went really well. This was also pretty straight forward and took about 4 hours. A few weeks later, I was asked to come in for a second interview. I met with some of the hiring managers I spoke to before, as well as a few I hadn't met before. Everyone was very nice and easy to talk to. I was told about 3 weeks later that they were performing a background check on me. They said this was very good news and I was one of their top candidates. After that, I waited for another three weeks and was told they selected another candidate.
I would say this was a good experience aside from the lengthy process with little communication as to when they would make a decision.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 5 weeks)
The interview process is very long and very thorough. The process starts by filling out an online personality and values - type test. Once the test is completed you will be taken to a screen that tells you whether or not you have what the company is looking for. You will then be contacted by the District Manager (or other high ranking manager) and an interviewer for the company. The phone interview is conducted over the phone from the corporate office. Before this interview, you must send a job application and resume. If you do well on the phone interview, you will move to the next step, which is a presentation by management. In the meantime, you will have to pass a background and credit check. Once all of this is completed, there is a pre-contract program that must be completed. It is about 3-5 sessions focused on learning about the company. If all of this goes well, you will be offered the job. If you don't have your state insurance license, they will then guide you toward a study program and testing site. You must complete 40 hrs. of class for licensing.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Norcross, GA (took 1 week)
I have not been hired yet. You have a one-on-one interview with someone high ranking in your area. My interview was with the Sales Manager for the state of Georgia. Ethics are very important to this company and any mention of ethics or an example of something ethical you did will be a plus. That is the first round. After that you take an ethics test online and submit your resume and application. The second round is a phone interview.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 3 weeks)
Interview was one on one with the District Sales Manager and basically it was a few short questions about me before it was my turn to ask all kinds of questions. Everything was covered in the initial interview. It seems like the company is trying to get as many people in the door as possible.
