Instructor Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Westinghouse in February 2012.
Interview Details – Very weak selection process. Recruiter does phone screen and then a panel interviews you. They only ask one question per competency and then they make you wait in another room while they discuss. I received an offer shortly thereafter. Some of the interviewers didn't seem very comfortable with interviewing; one had just graduated from college.
Interview Question – Questions were not difficult. They didn't seek many details and didn't seem to be able to determine whether they were getting complete stars, false stars or half stars. Answer Question
Anonymous Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
Interviewed at Westinghouse
Interview Details – Communication is formal and includes information on many potential behavioral questions that may arise during the interview process. You can try to prepare but I wouldn't be too detailed about the preparation since the list of questions provided is long and only about six are actually asked. Just think of your best examples of your work and experience that are relevant to the position.
Interview Question – None of the questions were difficult or unexpected but I find the behavioral questions to be a bad trend in general - they are not specific to this company. View Answer
Negotiation Details – If you are not an engineer, there is a stigma as though your skills are not that valuable. You have to be firm in what you will accept and once you are hired, you must really be persistent to ever advance.
Process Engineer Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online - interviewed at Westinghouse in January 2010.
Interview Details – I dealt directly with the local HR department which was good. Panel interview was a bit nerve racking. They train folks on the STAR method. Situation, Task, Action Result.
Negotiation Details – NONE

I applied through other source and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Westinghouse in November 2012.
Interview Details – I had previous experience with the employer and my record was easily recalled. I also had a contact within the organization.
Interview Question – It was not stressful, but it was thorough. How would you gather information on the market acceptance of a technology not currently in the market. Answer Question
Entry Level Engineer Interview (Neutral Experience)

Interview Details – I'm a student and was interviewed on campus. The interviewer asked a lot about previous experience and wanted a lot of detail about projects I've done. They asked a lot of technical questions.
Interview Question – Asked technical question about hydraulic pumps. Answer Question

I applied online - interviewed at Westinghouse in January 2013.
Interview Details – I applied online in October and was invited to a "internship cafe" in early January. At the cafe, potential candidates are broken down by discipline and are free to speak with managers related to their field. I spoke to at least 7 different managers. (Note: Make sure to bring plenty of resumes as you must provide a copy of your resume to each manager). I was contacted a few days later with an offer from a manager I spoke with.
