In this day and age, you can't seem to aggressive because people will think you want their job or will leave the second a better opportunity comes up. In hindsight I realize the question was a prelude to their wanting to communicate the lack of upward growth in the company due to the size of the dept and rough economic environment for the industry in recent years.
