Interview Question for Project Manager at Sapient:

What if clients want you to start project ASAP without signing the contract since contracts take 1-3 weeks for legal reveiw & approval while project needs to be started ASAP. How will you handle the risk of project cancellation.

Just engage on a pure T&M basis, the paperwork should be considerably less.

Although I like the 10% of the entire project cost the rule of the contract process should be follow. There is no telling what the cost of re-using the material for other projects or if it can be salvage at all. Yes we want the customer to be happy, but in business anything can and does happen. Stick to the rules to avoid costly issues.
