I would ensure that there are effective communications with the Program/Project Manager such that they understand the importance of effective communications between Contracts and Program Management such that it is very clear that any contract changes need to be contractually negotiated and incorporated by contract modification. In this case, since I would hope to preempt working outside of scope because I understand why a customer won't pay for something that they haven't asked to be done. I understand that any work done outside of scope is work at risk.
