Interview Question for Research Consultant at Corporate Executive Board:

Well, having managed nobody in any official capacity, I do lead the development of three talented junior staff. I believe managing is about understanding your employees, their professional aspirations, their talents, and helping them achieve goals relevant to the position. Incidentally, I turned the question around on the interviewer and received basically the same response, just stated in a more articulate way. Should have asked what the she does to actually implement this though.
