Offer them to help refer them to Agencies whom specifically deal with these issues, while ensuring them I am there, but listen, not advise...that only one person walks in their shoes, allow them to own their future. Remind them of how proud of their ability to confess this, as this is the first step to recovery, and ensuring they and their children remain safe.
