by Interview Candidate:

i would first determine what the customers expectations were: outcome, bandwidth, reliability required, security requirements, contingency, redundancy, availability, recovery time, etc. Next I would ask their budget constraints. I would want to know management's buy- in and finally I would ask their ability to support the technical solution (to include training).
