I persevered in trying to convince my immediate manager that the potential loss in business revenues will be more politically damaging. I organised two meetings: One with my manager and the business stakeholder and the other with my manager, the business stakeholder and his peer. The former went well but the latter did not go as well. His peer simply had more influence on the rest of the members of the Capital Review Board. At least, I tried and my manager came through unscathed politically.
