I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Williams in October 2011.
Interview Details – 3 managers each asking different behavioral questions, but not to the point they were badgering you with questions. My interview was actually quite fun, comfortable, and laid back, which immediately gave me a good vibe about the company. They just want to see where your interests lie and if you're being yourself.
Interview Question – Honestly, I didn't feel like they asked me questions off of a paper. I felt as we were just having a friendly conversation and then it just ended. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Gave me an offer in writing, I took my time since I was considering other companies, but then accepted because the pay was fair
They gave me the offer in a couple days after the interview, they are very efficient
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Williams in February 2012.
Interview Details – I was offered an interview through the Oklahoma State University's Hire OSU Grads Website.
The minimum GPA allowed was a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to be considered. They required a resume, cover letter, transcript, and a document for references.
I was offered an interview on the second week of February and interviewed with them on the 16th of February at OSU's Stillwater campus.
It was a great interview! Though I did not receive an offer, the interviewers were very nice and I felt like I could be myself.
I do warn anyone who interviews with them to be fully prepared about their understanding of Williams. They asked a lot of questions about if I knew Williams past company history and what they do today. So just be fully prepared for any and all questions. The interview lasted approximately 45 minutes.
Interview Question – Can you tell us about Williams and what we do as a company? Answer Question
I applied through college or university and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Williams.
Interview Details – I submitted my resume through the career centers website and requisted an on-campus interview. About a week or so after interview requists closed, I received an email that I could select a time slot for an on-campus interview with Williams. I interviewed with two engineers and the interview lasted about an hour. The first 10 minutes of so was used by them to describe their assets like pipelines and what not. For the next 30 minutes, they each went back and forth describing their jobs as well as how they manage their work/life balance. Finally they asked me a question about why I chose the degree I did. After answering that question, they then asked me why I wanted to work for Williams. After I responded, I guess they decided they knew me well enough and began talking about random things from football to relocating for work and so on.
Considering that I was the one interviewing for this position, I probably only spoke about 8-10 minutes out of 60. It was a very different type of interview then I've ever been to before.
Interview Question – They only asked me two questions:
1. Why did I decide to study my specific engineering major
2. Why do I want to work for Williams Answer Question
