Interviewed May 2012 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
Firstly, I was called by a recruiter in Florida who was really easy to talk to. After speaking with her she said I was going to be meeting with a senior HR recruiter at head office. The 1:1 Interview consisted a lot of situational questions, but overall a very relaxed interview environment. At the end of speaking with her she told me she wanted me to come back the following week to meet with two managers. She also send me an email that contained an excel test and a personality test. The interview with the managers was a harder interview as they didn't offer any feedback during or after the interview. The next week I was contacted with an offer. Overall a really smooth interview process and dealing with everyone was a pleasure.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took 4+ weeks)
There was a phone interview, then a set of online tests ( excel, personality test), and then a group interview. Personality test was eerily accurate. Overall it was a well-designed interview process. It seems the phone interview was meant to be a screening before the in-person.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
I applied online and a few weeks later, an outsourced recruiter (US-based) contacted me to schedule for a phone interview. It lasted for about 45 minutes. The lady on the other line was very nice and patient. She also gave me tips at the end on how to improve my interview answers. The next day, she told me that I was moving on to the next stage, which was a 1:1 interview with a Winner HR rep. This was scheduled 2 weeks after the phone interview. I don't know why, but I wasn't complaining because I had more time to prep myself for the next stage.
The 1:1 interview at Winners head office lasted for about 1 hour. The HR rep seemed nice & agree to most of my answers. That made me feel quite confident about my performance and my chance to get to the next stage. The interview was on Friday and she told me that she would let me know by Monday about the result. I waited for over 2 weeks without any correspondence from her. I sent her 2 emails and she never replied. A month later, she told me that I didn't make it to the next round (OBVIOUSLY!) and that she would keep my resume in records for future merchandising positions.
Of course I was disappointed that I didn't get to the next stage, but I was more disappointed at the lack of communication from the HR team. If they're not going to go forward with one application, why let that person wait in agony? So if you're currently waiting for a decision from them and you've been waiting for more than a week, I'd say that you better forget about it and move on. If they liked someone, they would contact that person immediately (within 2-3 days).

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Phone interview: exactly the same questions as listed on this site. Recruiter was outsourced out of Florida and very friendly. Basic allocation problem regarding distributing umbrellas.
In person interview: again, very friendly senior talent acquisition representative. Very similar questions to the ones in the phone interview. Got more into their business model and challenges that retail is currently facing. More involved in the career path and training program. Another allocation question regarding outdoor entertaining cookbooks with Martha Stewart on the cover in October/November.
That is as far as I got before being declined. I know there is a panel interview and other things after this.
To be honest, I am pretty surprised that I didn't get an offer. I had a lot of prep work done for my interview, felt I developed a good relationship with the interviewer and felt that I answered their questions really well. I can't point to anything that did "wrong" and was not offered any specific feedback when asked. I can only assume that this is a very competitive position and they have very specific wants and accept only those individuals.
Despite the initial disappointment at not receiving an offer (I got the call today), it was a very positive experience, just don't get to excited until there is an offer in hand.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 1+ week)
Phone interview - mostly went through previous work experience; a lot of qualitative/situational questions
Tell me about a time when....(showed leadership), (had conflict with a manager), etc.
Basic merchandising problem....if you had to allocate 100 burberry umbrellas in a tight time frame, how would you go about doing it? Where would you send the umbrellas - what stores, which part of the country? how many? why? etc.
Asked what salary expectations were...

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Scarborough, ON (Canada) (took a day)
So a manager had called and asked me to come for a scheduled interview. It only took less than a week for them to call after I had handed in my resume. When I handed in my resume, I had a meet and greet with a manager and he had asked some questions about my availability, if I live close, how long does it take me to get there and also let me know that they usually leave an hour after the store closes and if I was okay with that, to which I obviously replied 'Yes' because I needed the job. Then I filled out an application and the rest was in their hands.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I received a phone call for the interview about two weeks after I submitted my online application, which was to arrange for a half-hour phone interview which consisted of basic questions and a run-through of my work experience. Was also asked questions about why I chose the company, what I expected to do in the position, and what my current position entailed.
Afterwards, I was sent an online test to my email and took 15 minutes.
We then arranged for my first in-person interview at the head office location, which lasted about one hour and was conducted by an HR representative. The interview went smoothly, with a lot of scenario/behavioural questions ("describe a time when..."), along with salary expectations, and there was room for questions at the end.
Next, a second interview was arranged at the head office, and lasted about an hour with two managerial-level representatives. The interview questions were almost exactly identical and a little repetitive. Overall, the interview process was very lengthy and thorough, but as a result it works to find the best-fit candidate for the company.
