Interviewed Feb 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
Recruiter started off with a technical question and ended with a brainstorming question.
The communication was fine from the interviewer. He sounded experienced, and attentive.
The coordinator, staff and everyone in the interview process were very friendly, helpful, and most encouraging which helped me do well.
The telephonic or in-person interview will be awarded an comprehensive grade, and one wrong answer(s) will not ruin your chances at all. Keep positive, and answer your best on each question. Ask questions/clarify and take your time to answer, slowly, and clearly

Wipro's hiring process is simple. They test your IQ and technical skills with a written test, then call for a technical 1:1 interview and lastly a HR interview to complete the process. If you stay calm and prepare technically for the interview, you should be able to clear it.

Interviewed May 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
With my higher experience and needing a job soon, I was ready for a junior level role. I spent an hour and 45 minutes with a gentleman who was 4 years junior to me. He was digging my salary information alone and also about my investment habits for getting a reasonable return. I was answering to the best of my abilities, thinking that it was related to job roles, but nevertheless it crossed that thin line.
Earlier when I entered his cabin, it was full of food smell. I thought of it as typical of their work culture.
That person was yawning all the time. He ordered coffee and it didnt arrive till the end of the interview!
I thanked him and gave him my personal card and left. I didnt hear anything except for a Linkedin invite.
Later I came to know that, he was trying to find a replacement for himself, and in the process he was getting lots of Information about the market outside. Also another person within the group was moved up to take the position.
Waste of time for both, but I would classify this experience as a learning experience.

Interviewed May 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
I reached the interview venue on time. But I was made to wait for 3 hours to meet the interview panel. This was the case for everybody who had come to the venue that day. It was poorly managed and I could see everybody was frustrated.
Finally when I was called up, the person interviewing me took a peek at the resume, asked a couple of basic questions, then background questions on my current projects and finally asked me to write pseudo code using data structures. It went reasonable well and finally the person said the HR would get in touch for further rounds.
But I havent heard back from the despite 2 weeks having passed. I got the feeling my expected CTC was beyond what they were offering
