Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 days)
Wipro came to our college for campus recruitments...The recruitment consisted of the following phases:- Presentation followed by an aptitude test..then Technical round finally HR round.
The aptitude test was little difficult considering the time constraint. questions were divided into sections such as english, maths(quantitative aptitude), and technical (C, data structures, digital electonics, microprocessor related questions) well it was good . I attempted maximum no of questions within the given time limit....I cleared it
The next day started with the technical round. For a lot of candidates difficult questions were asked in this round. For non CS students it was tough to answer such questions as these questions were asked mainly from the subjects of CS.....but for me the technical round was a cakewalk. Maybe the interviewer was impressed by my positive attitude and so he didn't bother me with hardcore technical stuff, instead he focused on areas like my project work and why I wanted to work in the IT industry......these type of questions only were asked ..it was very cool...I came out of the room feeling confident.....next was the HR round. It was just for formality. few basic HR questions were asked. Finally when the names of selected candidates were being announced my name was there.....

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 2 days)
Wipro Technologies came to our college HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY on 5th January 2011 for on cam-pass recruitment. The whole process consists of four parts in chronological order :-
1. Pre-Placement Talk.
2.Aptitude test-> consists of 3 parts. English(verbal abilities) =20 questions
Quants & reasoning = 20 questions
Technical (C,Data structure, basic-SQL,OOP)=10 questions
3.Technical Interview-> After clearing the aptitude test (396 out of 446 were called for technical interview) , i was called for the interview. I was asked about my final year project and summer training. The interviewer was very good. He then gave me a couple of C program to concatenate two string using pointer & to finf a prime number. After that he asked me some SQL commands(joins). After that he was quite satisfied with my answers and gave me an HR form to advance into the next round that is HR interview. My Interview time was around 20 minutes. Remember , This HR form indicates weather you are through to the final round(HR interview) or not.
4.HR Interview-> This is the final rounds of selection. HR was very nice. he asked normal questions about me and my family. Asked me about my leadership qualities and asked instances of being team-worker. interview went for about 15 minutes.
Finally when the selection list was announced and i heard my name....i was in seventh heaven....
177 of of my friends were selected from my college.
Best of luck.......see u soon...

Tips for the E-tray
First part - have an inbox with 24 emails and have to select the best option out of a choice of 4-5 options. I think you had 50 minutes for this.
1. Very quickly read through all the information and make sure you understand who is who. It helps prevent you from making silly mistakes
2. Accuracy is more important than speed in this exercise. That said make sure you that you do not leave more than 2 questions unanswered. And do not guess.
Second part - have an inbox with 2 emails and have to respond providing recommendations.
3. Spend no more than 5 minutes deciding what you want to do.
4. Spelling, Spelling, Spelling - do not make a mistake and ensure you check you emails for mistakes.

The recruitment process kicked off with a presentation done by wipro technologies, followed by a written aptitude test. The following day, we had to appear for a technical interview which is basically a 1:1 interview to test our skills of programming language. The nest step was an HR interview which was like a personality test. They also judged the communication skills of the candidate through the HR interview.
