Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 2 months)
Not sure if this is how all candidates have experienced but this is my experience. Had initiated the process and went thru 4 rounds of interviews that covered, high level fit, detailed technical skill evaluation, strategic fit evaluation and HR.
Got thru all stages and the HR/recruiter kept saying the offer will be sent out but more than a month has passed and nothing has been done.
It seems to be either company is not sure what they are doing or don't have the capacity to hire sr level folks in the US to build a practice. Either way, I felt my 2 months of time has been wasted instead I could have looked at other potential opportunities.
What I am piqued about is after going thru all the stages the company just disappears when it came to make the offer. Guess its typical Indian mentality - go to a shop, select the best, bargain and just walk out of the store... on the professional front seems a bit unprofessional

Interviewed Jan 2012 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
Applied online. Was contacted by a recruiter, gave all the details along with Salary expectation. Interview was scheduled and no one called up. Called back and the interviewer called back to reschedule it the next day. Some technical, some lead questions. HR interview started, Roles , benefits discussed and then comes the salary part and then typical Indian IT company answers " we don't have the budget" , " there is an upper limit to this" blah blah... Got offer, lower salary then current one. A joke in itself.
2 weeks later the discussion is still going on. The client interview is also done. When you aks HR for an offer, they say "we are still working on it". From my experience, if a company takes more than 1 month to just finalize the offer at client locations , then their process is the worst in the business. Companies actually are at their best when they recruit someone. Once you have joined then the worse happens. IF this is their best side , then I hate to imagine the worst side.
Also, I am not sure why the HR ask for Salary expectation in the begning and then come for negotiation with low bowlers. They want expertise people but don't want to pay them. Not sure how long will they survive with such an attitude.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2 weeks)
First came in for a one on one interview with behavioral questions and was invited back. The group interview was integrated with BBAs and MBAs. Most of the candidates were quiet, which gave a chance for me to stand out in front of the quiet observer, but I was concerned that I may come off as domineering. The offered salary was commensurate with the average ambition of the candidates. If you're looking for something challenging, look elsewhere. Was offered $50k with $3 moving expenses compensated (the relocated you annually instead of flying you to the client and basing you in one city). Most alumni from my university left within a year because they ended up paying out of pocket for relocating.

Reason for Declining
Pay was not on par with other consulting firms. Half the alumni I spoke with that worked in the same position left within one year, citing out of pocket moving expenses and unorganized management.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
I went for a walk-in expecting a lot of chaos and delay. To my surprise it went very smoothly . It took four hours to get the process completed. There were two interviews , of which the technical interview was tough.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 days)
Wipro came to our college for campus recruitments...The recruitment consisted of the following phases:- Presentation followed by an aptitude test..then Technical round finally HR round.
The aptitude test was little difficult considering the time constraint. questions were divided into sections such as english, maths(quantitative aptitude), and technical (C, data structures, digital electonics, microprocessor related questions) well it was good . I attempted maximum no of questions within the given time limit....I cleared it
The next day started with the technical round. For a lot of candidates difficult questions were asked in this round. For non CS students it was tough to answer such questions as these questions were asked mainly from the subjects of CS.....but for me the technical round was a cakewalk. Maybe the interviewer was impressed by my positive attitude and so he didn't bother me with hardcore technical stuff, instead he focused on areas like my project work and why I wanted to work in the IT industry......these type of questions only were asked ..it was very cool...I came out of the room feeling confident.....next was the HR round. It was just for formality. few basic HR questions were asked. Finally when the names of selected candidates were being announced my name was there.....
