Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 2 months)
Initial communication in first week of december 2011. Had a technical interview in mid of december.
Mostly about my experience in my current role and very few technical questions(Mainframe, QC).
Had to communicate couple of times to get HR interview scheduled. HR interview happened in last week of
december. Asked for a salary quote and gave the same. Was promised of a reply and offer in one week.
Now started my journey to nowhere with this company. 1 Month went in no proper reply even after multiple communications from my side. Had to communicate with multiple people at multiple locations with no proper reply. Now, got a new offer (lower than my quote) and I confirmed it. A week later got official confirmation letter, I accepted offer, filled required items for back ground check. Two weeks went with no communication again. Sent mails, called multiple people with no gain. Then after a week, after I made to them clear that I am not interested if its delayed, got an employment letter dated for the next days' date which in itself makes the document invalid. In between all these I get multiple calls from the project management team asking my joining time (should not they ask this to their HR? Showed a lot of disconnect between the PM team and HR)
Now another one week went, after which HR called in to say that original opportunity is shelved and offered me a totally different location, which I rejected.
Now, looking back, I dont think they were true about this opportunity from the beginning. They were just buying time from me, keeping me as a back up for a opportunity that is not even there to begin with. They start the procedure even before getting an opportunity, but when it does not come true, they just give you a very bad offer. They were not open about this too waiting 2 months of my time, which i could have used for my job search. Totally unprofessional behaviour for a company that is boasting itself as a global company.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Pune (India) (took a day)
I was interviewed by a single person asking questions with a couple of others sitting besides.
I was done with my interview in 30 straight mins. I believe the reason was that my interview was scheduled by a recruiter outside Wipro and the time slot was booked. People who were there for interview (those that were called by Wipro's HR/recruitment team) were sitting from last 3 hrs.
They focused mainly on the core technical skills while checking some of my management/lead expertise. As stated earlier, the interview lasted only 30 mins after while the HR went for lunch and were back after 45 mins.
I was asked to submit the required documents along with a letter stating that I take full responsibility of the gap I had after my graduation and before joining.
Wipro seems to be very particular about the documentation and process.
Within next 3 days, the HR co-ordinated with me for the scanned copies of following documents -
1. Std 10th+ Mark memos & certifs.
2. Passport
3. past 3 mon. Payslips of current company
4. PAN / Acknowledgement of application.
5. ID of current company {Original}
6. Earlier Company Relieving/Experience Letter {*past 2 companies worked or 5yrs which is higher}
7. 2 Passport size photographs
8. Earlier companies Offer Letter {past 2 companies or 5yrs. which is higher}
9. Form 16/Saral Form or bank statements {1/each company employed, two companies or 5yrs. -which is higher}
10. Offer letter for current companies worked & past hike letter.
and I was offered an offer letter.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The package %hike although was 25-30%, the cash in hand was significantly low in Wipro and thus not very lucrative at this package/salary in hand.
Also, the base salary was lower/reduced as compared to my current package.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Skills Test.
