Reason for Declining
Lowball offer after very successful interview process. Offer came in well below bottom of their range despite extremely positive interview results. They later tried to amend offer but this is a red flag for several reasons:
- bad hiring practices = bad employer. If they treat you like this at the hiring stage, how will they treat you as an employer ?
- bad business judgement. Market for my skillset is (fortunately) strong, match was very good, their need was urgent. Setting ethical issues aside, this is just plain incompetent business practice.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.
