Interviewed Jan 2010 in Akron, OH (took 1 week)
Applied online, received email requesting phone interview, completed phone interview and was contacted by the branch manager (hiring manager) for an in person interview. Met with branch manager two days later. Branch Manager and assistant manager asked me a list of typical interview questions (how do I do with offering products and services to customers, am I comfortable talking to potential customers etc.) Manager said he'd be in contact in a few days. Called on day 4 for follow up. They offered me the position on day 7.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Columbus, OH (took 1 week)
I applied online and stopped by the branch to drop off resume because I thought it may make a better impression. Sometimes online applications get lost in shuffle. The girls in the branch were very nice so they forwarded my resume to mgr. I received call from recruiter 2days later for telephone interview scheduled interview with branch manager. Interview went very well, as the mgr was very relaxed. I was offered the job on the spot. The pay was lower than expected for my experience in banking, so I waited a few days before accepting the offer.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 5 days)
I had a phone onterview followed up with a in person interview ...interview went very well the manager at the time of the interview was very nice. They called with an offer within a day or two. The back ground screening is what took so long. The employees we're very inviting. Working in side of wal-mart is hard to adjust to after I started because of all the loud noise. Over all interview process when well and easy.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in San Antonio, TX (took 2 days)
First there is an assessment online. Then you get a call from a recruiter who asks mainly customer service based questions as well as selling/ marketing. Have you ever promoted a store credit card, etc. Then if the recruiter finds a good location for you and like your answers you get an interview at the branch with the manger and assistant manager. They ask similar questions as the recruiter.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Houston, TX (took 6 days)
I had a phone interview with the recruiter and was told that she recommended me to the manager at the branch i applied for. I called the manager and set up an interview monday at 9:00 am. I did really well, it was my best interview to date. I focussed on sales and customer service skills and experience. She tried to drill me in the interview but I answered every question perfect. I was then told at the end of the interview that the recruiter will contact me. I highly doubt that. Woodforest is not an equal opportunity employment I feel that I was judged before i could open my mouth.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 2 days)
The interview will take place at the in-store location you are applying for. You will interview with the branch manager and the assistant branch manager (if available). Banking experience is not a priority. Their focus is with sales. They want to know how well you can sale and market their products. Keep in mind you will work inside a supermarket. Think of ways you can market to shoppers in that particular store and surrounding businesses. After the initial interview with the branch manager you may get called for a second interview. If you do get called for a second interview, you pretty much have the job. the interview is a one on one with the regional manager. You will again be questioned on your sales experience. Compensation, drug testing, and daily work environment will be discussed during the second interview. A few days after the second interview you may receive a phone call from the branch manager offering you the job and at what salary. If you accept they will give you 24hrs to complete a drug test. If you pass the drug test, you should a week after they receive the results.

Negotiation Details
I was able to negotiate a $10/hr salary. I didn't have banking experience and only a couple of years of sales experience. Being bilingual didn't make a difference. Depending on your experience you can negotiate up $13/hr. The minimum should be $10/hr. If you are offered lower than that you should be able to negotiate for higher with little resistance.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Houston, TX (took 4+ weeks)
Have had 4 in person interviews, at 4 different branches in a 30 day period, all went well, I was told and I thought so too. I was asked basic questions about my experience customer service, and sales. How do I handle an upset customer? They told me about the company. I asked questions, sent a thank you note after each interview. No offers though. Still waiting, still hoping. Honestly I don't get the feeling that this is really an equal opportunity employer. I feel as though I was passed around from branch to branch like the offering plate in church on Sunday!
