The initial interview was a phone interview. The questions probed the my background and skills listed on my resume. For an interview, it was laid back.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Oak Brook, IL (took 6 weeks)
For me the interviewing process was short, just met with a few people the first time then a less formal interview with two peer engineers the second time. Biggest delay was in getting the formal offer, negotiating position / salary, and start date. Other people hired here have gone through much longer hiring / interview process. For me I knew two of the hiring decision makers personally from past work experience so that probably helped.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
I was frustrated with the negogiation process because I was not offered the position title, salary or commission target I deserve based on experience and past positions. But I accepted the position anyway with hope for growth and change over time.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Dec 2010 (took a day)
I received an email requesting an interview the week before Christmas. Since I was off I went in the following day. I had a great conversation with the hiring manager, we discussed the job, the expectations and the fact that I've been doing something similar for my entire career. She seemed really positive and told me that they were going to be doing follow up interviews the first week of the new year, right after the holiday, but she'd get back to me the following day to set up the date and time. I hadn't heard anything at all throughout the holiday. I sent an email just to check in and see what was up. I received an email back saying that they hadn't finished their first round of interviewing on time, so they'd get back to me.
We had severe weather, so I figured there was another delay. After a week or so, I sent another email, and from that point on I've heard nothing. What I find interesting is that the position is still posted.
I really enjoyed the environment and I'd love to have the job, but the lack of communication, even something saying they're moving forward with another candidate, has made me nervous.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Herndon, VA (took a day)
It was an internal informal interview, I pretty much had the job but the interview was a mere formality. I sat with my future supervisor and was asked about my past work history as well as skills and why I was recommended for the job. I asked about the salary and was told what it would be.

Negotiation Details
I did not get the impression that it was negotiable, but it was an increase from what I was making so I did not try to negotiate. I did however negotiate my prior salary at the same company, but both times I wish I had asked for more than I did.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
After being made to wait over 10 minutes, the Branch Manager finally came out to greet me. While I was waiting I had absolutely nothing to do than to review my notes. The lobby is not staffed, doesn't have any magazines or actually any sign of life.
Once we shook hands, he proceeded to walk well over 10 steps in front of me. I'm not a slow mover so this just insulted me that he couldn't somehow bring himself to walk with me. It was as if he was saying " I really don't have time for you."
During the interview he was rude, interrupting, and overall did not give me a good impression of how he runs business.
Later I was told by an employee that her first meeting was also not too great.
To be fair I have spoken with another employee who is very happy, but she may be the exception & not the rule.
Although I would accept an offer of employment (due to the still very rough employment climate), I would be extremely wary of him.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 3 weeks)
Met with GM and the interview went very well. He was in the process of hiring a regional manager for sales to report to. Three weeks later he emailed me and i set up a meeting with the Regional manager to interview with him. The regional had no management experience and was a little over the top in the interviewing process at first. Then we realized we really had the same goals and vision. Interview went well and they have yet to meet the required salary I requested.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took a day)
I submitted a resume and recieved a call back in regard to it several days later. The Regional Sales Manager and I chit chatted on the phone and he asked if I wanted to come in for an in-person interview. It was a very informal interview just covering the typical questions.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 1 week)
The interview process I went through was very quick and pleasant. I had an HR phone screen, hiring manager phone interview and an in person phone interview with the manager and several members of the team. I was surprised to get an answer so fast. The offer was generous and I accepted right away.
