First I had a phone interview and then was flown in for an in-person interview. I spoke with the hiring manager as well as the people I would be working with closely- a total of five people. Everyone was very nice and welcoming.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Rochester, NY (took 2 weeks)
I was contacted by a recruiter for a position they had open. The first round of interviews was with a panel of three people. I believe one of the people I interviewed with was the boss of the position I was applying for, and the other two were co-workers. The questions they asked were scenario-based in the HR field, like "What would you do if a manager called to inform you a worker was hurt while on the job". I found it to feel a little unorganized. The interview started late on there account, and nobody took notes during the duration.
The second round of interviews were two 1-on-1 conversations with a vice president and another individual whom I was not told who they were. They were both very unstructured, and more a conversational setting.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Rochester, NY (took a day)
My resume was sent in via recruiter. It took about a month to hear anything and then it went fast. Got a call on Tuesday for an interview on Friday. Was told to expect 1-3 people and an hour. It ended up being 3 1:1 talks, 1 2:1 talk, and 1 5:1 talk that ended up being 3 hours. I'm in good shape and could keep up with the fast walk and stairs and keep the layout of the building in mind. I imagine this was part of their assessment The energy with the first person was so high and got me so excited that I found it difficult to come down from there for the rest of the time. It threw me off enough that I didn't sell myself as well as I would have liked. Everyone was very knowledgeable and fabulous and I could see myself working with them. I had never experienced such an interview. I was completely wiped at the end of it.

Interviewed May 2011 in Webster, NY (took 2 days)
The job posting was not public and I passed my resume through a college alum. Got a request for my complete publication list and selected full papers. Then the hiring manager made a phone interview. Not quized on technical questions, more about resume and how you solve problems.
Got an onsite: first day visit the customer learning center, dinner with two employees. The next day is a full day, one-hour presentation, nine one-on-one interviews and lunch. The big bosses mostly asked about behavior questions. Research staff asked about research. Again not quized. Everyone very friendly.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in Rochester, NY (took a day)
I walked into the office in downtown Rochester, the office seemed really big and organized. Then after talking to security I was taken to the 16th floor where I had a 2:1 interview. The first guy I couldn't understand his foreign accent too well, but the 2nd guy I could. They described the job as using the google maps API to pinpoint where to send out technicians to repair things. I believe they asked me about ASP.NET experience and Javascript. After a few questions I had them sold and they actually walked me to my car. They seemed really friendly, however their offer was not enticing enough to leave school for 6 months.
