Interviewed Feb 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took 2+ weeks)
Had two phone interviews (leaving the HR intro call). First one was from the Hiring manager; asking about my background; few qns on what I did. Lasted around 45min. 2nd call was again a technical round - went on specifics - on Java, WebServices etc.,
In person interview - had 6 folks interviewing me; this includes the hiring manager having lunch discussion with me. Few asked me to put together different systems (high available to some complex systems). Asking / stopping me - why / what - on various stages. Each lasted at least 45 min to an hour. One went to coding aspect of it - Java threads etc., Given a problematic code - asked me to fix it.
Once I was back to Chennai, I had 1 round from another Sr. Principal Engineer - from a different division; following this was the Director of that division. Overall a great experience. The folks were good. HR is really good on following up and releasing offers; discussing benefits etc.,

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Bangalore (India) (took 2 months)
I initially got a call from HR after applying online via linkedIn,
I had 2 rounds of telephonic interviews back in november, but after that I never heard from the HR.
Suddenly I got a call in mid december from Y! hr and she invited me to Y! campus in banglore.
I had a morning flight but it got delayed and I reached the campus at 2pm.
The HR didn't even ask me for lunch and took me straight to the conf room.
I had 5 rounds of futher interviews and managed to get free by 7pm.
The HR told me that it will take by end of next week to get the feedback and they provided me a decent guest room to stay overnight.
I was pretty impressed with the Y! workplace.
The questions were basically based on algorithms, and very few on core java.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Mumbai (India) (took a day)
Got initial email and then set up phone interview date (within 2 days). There was an option for a meeting but since recruiter didn't confirm which "division" the job opportunity was for, thought prudent to first discuss and clarify it on phone.
My worst fears were confirmed on phone, when the person who was supposed to be leading the new specialist business unit and has absolutely no experience in it. He has been working in another department, and apparently been told to work in this division too.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Company has no idea about the position. The Interviewer seemed very confused as it was a new business unit and clearly he had no information about the role for which he was hiring.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Bangalore (India) (took 1+ week)
On day one, there was a telephonic for about 35 min. It was mainly Java and the current project. Java part was on Immutable object, deadlock, threads and questions on http concepts, serialization. I have got an email the same day asking to come for F2F interviews. It consisted on six rounds, each of them by a separate single person, from 10 am to 5 pm. It was totally data structures, architecture/deployment based like - design (did not ask any design patterns in specific though) of db schema, layers, etc. However no puzzles were asked. Some questions from data structures - traversing a linked list, binary tree (BFS), stack operations.
Reason for Declining
Was advised not go join
