Yahoo Software Engineer Intern Interview

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Sunnyvale, CA (took 3 weeks)

One of the nice things I've found about people at Yahoo is that they're very chill and welcoming in their job interviews. I felt comfortable geeking out about the latest technologies, and was in fact encouraged to do so, to show that I was connected to the whole Web 2.0 ecosystem. For the team I was interviewing for, most of the questions were straight out of the book "High Performance MySQL", and were extremely straight-forward. In the whole process, as I talked to different people on the team, there were a couple times where I had appointments rescheduled at the last minute. Otherwise, it was a really enjoyable experience.
