They have a 3 interview process. #1 a meet and greet, #2 a meeting with the bar manager, and #3 a meeting with the general manger. I didn't get to #3.

Interview Questions
  • The bar manager asked some unlawful questions like do I have kids and if it would be difficult to leave them at night since I would be working some nights. It's not relevant to qualifications. They need to train their managers a little bit better   Answer Question

    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a day - interviewed at Yard House in January 2008.

    Interview Details

There were 2 interviews, first with the GM and second with the bar manager. The bar manager had me do a pour test on the spot, which I didn't expect. The questions were standard, previous work experience, teamwork, etc. Asked me some general recipe questions.

People were very nice but somewhat cold. Culture is very corporate, expected for a big restaurant, but really on the extreme side.

The interview process for the Yard House was directed toward the personality of the potential employee, but instead on what specifics they were looking toward. Be ready to just merely the highest job experience with a mediocre personality.
