I applied through an employee referral and the process took a day - interviewed at Yard House in January 2008.
Interview Details – There were 2 interviews, first with the GM and second with the bar manager. The bar manager had me do a pour test on the spot, which I didn't expect. The questions were standard, previous work experience, teamwork, etc. Asked me some general recipe questions.
People were very nice but somewhat cold. Culture is very corporate, expected for a big restaurant, but really on the extreme side.
Interview Question – Will you do a pour test right now? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation
