Interview Question for Account Manager at Research in Motion:

I stated that I will notify the office of our VP that he wishes to speak with him but I can't guarantee anything. I outlined the action that I was going to take to resolve the issue and made a commitement to update the VP on the status within the hour. Interviewer rolled her eyes several times and said that the correct answer was to tell the VP it wasn't going to happen and that if they threatened to take their business elsewhere I should have told them they are welcome to do that. Really?? How is that the correct answer? Is someone really supposed to tell a VP no, take your business elsewhere then, especially in an interview??
