Interviewed Jan 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
- extremely conversational
- a lot of questions about my personality and expectations
- informational
- less about what I've done and more about what I can do

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Manama (Bahrain) (took 3 weeks)
I received an email from Y&R's MD requesting an interview for a position in Bahrain and one in Saudi. This was followed up by phone calls and then a one on one interview which lasted approximately one hour. After the interview I met some of the staff, who I also knew.
Everything seemed extremely positive throughout the interview as well as the later discussions with staff. The agency seemed cohesive and well run, the staff looked very positive and happy despite the current recession.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in New York, NY (took 3 months)
This process was ridiculous. She said it would take up to 5-6 months before they made a selection for the position, who has that kind of time?
The woman I interviewed with on the phone really turned me off from the company. She was extremely unintelligent and ditzy, clearly reading from a list of questions and had no interest in what I had to say. Even her description of the position lacked enthusiasm.
After TWO MONTHS, they emailed me saying I was invited in for a 1:1 interview, and I declined because I had found another job by then, and completely forgot about this one.
Overall awful experience, terribly organized, and highly unprofessional.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in New York, NY (took a day)
I interview with several different people at Y&R in the NYC office. I was told that I had a great resume and that they would want to hire me. WPP is on a hiring freeze and they were not allowed to hire. I was told to email me resume and they would email me back to set up another interview. After several emails and phone calls I never heard back.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in New York, NY (took 6+ weeks)
Overly complicated and totally ineffiecient - completely turned me off on the entire company. I met with 14 different people over the span of a month an a half. My interviews were sometimes at the office, and sometimes off site. They rarely featured more than one person at a time. All total I had to fake 7 different doctors appointments to make all these interviews. I understand that they were considering me for several teams and I needed to meet with multiple team members in order to reach a consensus on my candidacy, but this was just crazy, and honestly a little bit disrespectful of the fact that I had another job.
