Interviewed May 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2+ weeks)
Interview with ZS Associates was very mechanical. I made it to the final round after the regular first round interview with behavioral questions. Then, the final round was about 4 hours long. It was structured with more behavioral questions, case interview, job showcase and meeting with the principal. Overall, it felt like people who were interviewing did not care at all about the process. It's almost as if they were forced to interview you.

Inital phone interview with questions relating to how you would use data in Excel/Access to sort and rank the best areas for Pharma sales. Why ZS? Know how a Pharma sales force works and what data could be used to target MDs for sales calls.
1:1 interview onsite (written case interview with AC, name a time when you had to use your quantitative skills with a Manager, fit interview with a Principal)

Interviewed Jul 2010 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
Applied online and had first conversation with the recruiter. After talking to me for a good 15-20 minutes and asking questions about my experience, she asked me to send her my college transcripts (apparently they are big on that).
This was followed by a phone interview that lasted around 45 minutes. The interview who I believe was a senior consultant gave me a scenario and asked me how I would proceed. It was a case interview but no quantitative emphasis. Most the answers he was looking for were qualitative and were meant to see how you approach to solve a problem. Real nice guy and not too hard interview if you can think at the spot.
They ended up calling me to California for the final interview but I had to let go of the opportunity due to personal reasons.
