I went in to fill out an application, turned it in right away and was told there was a group interview later that day, so I went. I got there about 10 minutes early and there was already another girl there, so we talked as we waited for the others to arrive. There were 5 of us in total. To start the interview we had to introduce each other, then we were asked questions about ourselves (fun, silly questions at first, then the more serious ones), we had to pick out an outfit, and then we went over stuff about the store.

Delia's hires regularly because no one really wants to stay there. Its not hard to get a job here. Just be nice on your interview, the manager seems really nice and it is a group interview so it's nothing to worry about. Try to dress similarly to their style, I wore a really cute dress with nice shoes. They want to see that you can represent their style and make stylistic choices of your own. The job ultimately is to sell people as many items for as much money as humanly possible, so on my interview we were asked to create a casual look that was cohesive and versatile in order to optimize sales.

I applied in person and was given a date and time to join a few other girls for a group interview. The manager interviewed me and two other girls and and told all three of us that she wanted to have a one on one interview with each of us on a later day. My one on one interview was five days later and she called me and got back to me again three days after that.

Arrived on time at 10AM on Saturday. Was told to wait while store manager finished paperwork. Perused the store for a few minutes. Noticed the lack of customer traffic. Greeted by the manager. Taken to the back. The interview was pretty basic with typical questions. I think there was more talk about the manager's goals and expectancies than questions about my work ethic. In fact, the interview was so simple because she did most of the talking. We discussed briefly about the brands and she winged back into talking about her goals for the store. She also kept reiterating her desire for diversity. Was told I would get a call from the district manager for a phone interview. Left the STILL empty dELIA*s at 1PM. Never received that call.

Pretty simple and easy. At first I loved working there, at this point: I hate it. Things have changed and its different when you look at it from the outside but when you are dealing with the whole manager crew face to face. Its intimidating!

I walked in and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to the manager and told her that I was interested in applying for a position as a sales associate. After I finished filling out an application, the manager gave me her business card with the interview date and time written on it. When I came in, she interviewed me in the back room. She asked me a few questions and told me she would call me by Friday to let me know her decision. She didn't get back to me until Sunday and told me that I was hired.

I got a call back around a week later and went in,it was a group interview.
During the interview they asked me what would make me the best choice,strengths,weaknesses the usual..
It was only one interview,the manager is really nice and even though I had no experience she saw my potential and hired me.

I interview for a store manager position with the district manager. The interview process was about 1.5 hours. He was easy to talk to and it seemed that he was really interested in learning about me and my retail management background. The dress was casual. It seemed like a great company to work for, but the drive was too far.

The store manager approached me, asked me to come in for an interview, and set the date with me. She took me to the back of the store, asked me about my work experience and what word i would use to describe myself. Pleased at my enthusiasm and candor, she took me out front and tested my sales abilities, then offered me a position on the spot.
