I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at dunnhumby in April 2013.

    Interview Details

Got a call from the HR and then had a telephonic welcome round with an expat. I was called for a face to face interview and was asked fairly straight forward questions. They asked simple stuff such as "What are facts tabeles?", "What are dimensions tables?" etc. Asked me some questions about my prior experience and what I was expecting to do at Dunnhumby

    Reasons for Declining

    - The offer was lower than the offers I had from other companies
    - When they explained their idea of the future of Dunnhumby, they confused their own-selves rather than me. They have no idea of what they want themselves.

Aptitude test, fairly CATlike in structure, but easier. Data analysis questions were related to retail.
Group Discussion for the shortlisted candidates from aptitude test. Again retail based case study.
Personal Interview. Focused on resume, technical (stats and econometrics), guess estimates, HR: not very grilling, but rather exhausting because of the comprehensive nature of questioning.

I applied through college or university. The process took a dayinterviewed at dunnhumby in January 2010.

    Interview Details

Dunnhumby came on campus to recruit undergrads. The process was actually "fun". There was a basic math and logic test. After shortlisting, we headed to a group discussion where, in groups of 4, we were given a case that we needed to analyse. There were a set of questions that we needed to answer using the data. Throughout the 1 hour case discussion dunnhumby people were circling the table to see how we were discusing the answers. I feel that the process of discussion was more important than getting to the "correct" answer. After another round of shortlisting based on the group discussion, there were a set of interviews. The first one was about the case and how we came up with the solutions. The second was a typical HR interview.
