Accepted Offer – Reviewed Aug 18, 2012
Interview Details – 2-3 Interviews before hire. The first interview is there to see if you could be a good fit with advertising sales and have an energetic personality. The second interview is most likely with a Sales Manager and expect to be there for about 2 hours. They will have you fill out forms on a computer and then you will sit and listen in on sales calls with another Media Consultant. This will give you a great idea, if you think you can and want to do the job. Pay attention to details during the sales call and next you'll meet with the Manager. They'll ask you a series of questions to see if you'd really be good and like to be there.

You would like to think that in our day/time with the omnipresence of social media and a culture that revolves around the internet that the idea of professionalism would be held in a higher regard than it currently does. Yellowbook was shockingly unprofessional during my interview.
I had a screening with a sales rep/recruiter and after a 45 minute discussion I was given the next stages in the process and told I would hear back within two weeks...that was one month and a half ago and I still have yet to hear back even after contacting the recruiter I spoke with! At the very least give a candidate the professional courtesy of either updating them in the process or let them know it is simply not a fit - not too much to ask.
As a job seeker I would have serious reservations about moving forward with this company. Unfortunately there are companies out there that still operate this way and I will definitely spread the word about this company and specifically how poor my experience was.
