Number of all aircrafts/ time of life of one aircraft. Time of life =~ 30 years,
Number of all aircrafts in US: I can assume that in the big airport f.e. JFK every 2 minutes during the day (12 hours) some aircraft is taking off. Approximately 20 such big airports would make the approximation for all the airports (small or not ) in US. Consequentely,
N=30*12*20/2=3500.
So the average "usage" of aircrafts is approximately 100.
